We recommend flying into Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN), the city’s international airport. Visit our Travel Guide for information on getting to the city from the airport.

We recommend taking the Arlanda Express, which reaches Stockholm Central Station in just 18 minutes. Taxis, Uber, and Bolt are also available. See our Travel Guide for more details.

Mid-July is one of the most beautiful times to visit Stockholm. You can expect long summer days, with temperatures typically ranging from 65–75°F (18–24°C) during the day and cooler evenings around 55–60°F (13–16°C). Swedish weather can be unpredictable, and it’s not uncommon to experience a quick rain shower followed by sunshine. We recommend packing layers and bringing a light rain jacket so you’re prepared for whatever the day brings. As the Swedes say, “There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes.”

Sweden uses the Swedish Krona (SEK). Sweden is cashless — cards and contactless payments are accepted everywhere.

While Swedish is the official language, nearly everyone in Stockholm also speaks excellent English, so getting around and communicating is very easy for international visitors.
